In Support of The San Francisco Birth Center Foundation
Join us for a community-wide Baby & Kids’ Items Swap Fundraiser in support of The San Francisco Birth Center Foundation. This event offers an opportunity to donate gently used baby and children’s items, refresh your child’s wardrobe and toys, and find new-to-you essentials for their next stage.
How It Works:
- Entry Fee: $20 per person (tickets available in advance and at the door; walk-ins welcome).
- Bring your gently used baby and children’s items. (not required to bring items)
- Browse a curated selection of pre-loved essentials and take home as many items as you need.
Your $20 ticket or day-of donation grants you unlimited bags of items to take home. Please bring your own bags.
Item Drop-Off Information:
- SF Birth Center: Drop-offs are accepted on April 21, 24, & 25 between 10:00 AM and 4:00 PM.
- At New Parents Group on Tuesday, April 22.
- Baukunst: Friday, April 25th, from 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM, at 433 Cortland Ave, San Francisco.
- Day of Event @ Baukunst: Donations may also be brought directly to the event on April 26th.
Accepted Donations:
We welcome new or gently used items in good condition, including:
- Baby and toddler clothing, toys, and books (no rips, stains, or damage; all items should be washed prior to donation).
- Children’s clothing, gear, and accessories (through kindergarten age).
- Baby gear such as strollers, bouncers, and similar items (please note, we cannot accept car seats for safety reasons).
- Diapers, wipes, and formula (open diaper packages are accepted; formula and wipes must be sealed).
- Maternity and postpartum items for parents (health/nutrition items must be sealed).
- Maternity clothing.
Any unclaimed items will be generously donated to those in need.
Event Guidelines:
- Infants in arms are welcome.
- Due to space constraints, we kindly request that older children do not attend.
Items We Cannot Accept:
To ensure a smooth and efficient event, we ask that donations be thoughtful and in good condition. Items that are dirty, broken, incomplete, damaged, or otherwise unsuitable will require additional resources for disposal, which we aim to avoid.
We cannot accept the following items:
- Breast pumps
- Car seats
- Furniture
- Bed frames, mattresses, bean bags, futons, rugs
- Used bedding, blankets, pillows, or towels
- Household furnishings
- Yoga mats
- Humidifiers, dehumidifiers, air purifiers
- Used or unpackaged breast pump supplies, pump parts, pacifiers, etc.
